Round Log Homes
Bannon uses Scandinavian Scribe fit on their round log homes. Design your own with our architect to build the home or structure of your dreams, or Bannon can provide many designs from his portfolio. The log work takes place in our building yard, using 22-inch butts to 14-inch tops & over 40 feet long if you’d like. We scribe each log together for a secure tight fit. After the building is complete the logs get tagged and numbered for disassembly. The logs then get loaded onto flat deck trailers & are transported to the desired location. With the foundation and sub-floor already in place, the logs then get re-erected. Each log gets insulation packed in the lateral groove to ensure an energy-efficient seal. In addition to our homes, we also incorporate timber framing and log work into standard frame houses such as Portico entrances, timber frame or log great rooms & additions. Bannon is also well known for the restoration of historic log buildings throughout Ontario, including Westfield Heritage Centre (Rockton) & private residences.
